Client Testimony
A couple of years ago, our organization was faced with a stack of aging weld procedures and no process for assessing and qualifying newly hired welders. NIAC was introduced to us as a local resource who had a lab and the capabilities to qualify our welders in all major weld processes; SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW. NIAC partnered with us from the start and took the time to tailor a multi-phased to meet our needs. John is a Certified Weld Inspector with several years of experience in welding and metallurgy with a keen eye and knowledge of quality systems. For us, NIAC’s scope of work included;
- Assessing new welders as they performed their qualification tests,
- Providing Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQs) per ASME Sect IX,
- Running a full gap-analysis on our existing weld procedures,
- Identifying, developing, and providing new Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) as required,
- Identifying, developing, and writing new Weld Procedure Specifications (WPSs) as required.
NIAC carried out the plan efficiently with the utmost professionalism. Today, we have a robust library of weld procedures that meet current codes and industry standards, as well as an efficient process for assessing and qualifying new additions to our welding team. Thanks NIAC! "
